I think that if Toulouse could snap up Ali it would be a great deal for both parties. It was lovely to see him back in the blue and amber v New Zealand but my view is that those suggesting we get him back on a one year deal were being overly sentimental. He was great for us and I think we let him go too soon but...............that was a long time ago now and we need players off the bench who are capable of more than ten minutes here and there.

Exactly! He would make a good one year signing for that off the bench role....especially when we are going to be so deprived of second rowers for the start of the 2016 season.

As much as I like Ali I still don't think it's the right move to bring him back.
We've got enough second rowers. If someone of quality or a long term signing were available then fine, but I don't think Ali fits into those categories anymore.
