Now, I'm going to be careful with what I say as I am only going off what I saw whilst at the game, but...was it me, or did McIlorum knee/kick Wellens in back play in the second half? McIlorum appears to move his knee in Wellens' direction who was on the floor after picking up a knock?

It seemed that a few in the North stand saw something and called for it, but the officials didn't see anything and from talking to various people Sky did not show it/comment on it?

I've saw it mentioned on the other thread, but it would be interesting to see it again. Wonder whether it will be looked at?

I can't remember who did it but I did see someone kick Wello in the head, yes. I just can't remember which Wigan player it was.

As I mentioned in the other thread, it was definitely McIlorum. It looked to me like he intentionally kneed Wellens in the head. Wellens was on his hands and knees recovering from a head knock, and McIlorum, who had plenty of time to avoid him, basically ran straight through his head.

That's how it looked, but I could be wrong. It happened off camera, so the sky coverage doesn't confirm anything.

Didn't see anything on the tape, not that I'm saying it didn't happen. Quite a few thing's missed/ignored from Silverwood today.

I missed the incident as well, just saw a saints player injured on the ground in back play, didn,t even know it was Wellens.
But quite a few fans behind me must have seen it as they mentioned a kick or knee to the head, if it is Micky Mac with his past history it won,t take long for the disciplinary to have a look at it.

It was in back play, so doubt sky cameras would have picked anything up.

As I say, it was a question as to whether something happened rather than an accusation.

I saw Wellens on the ground trying to get back to his feet when the Wigan player went into him and cought him on the head. The Wigan player could have avoided the contact. I doubt it would be on film as the cameras would have kept up with play which had passed further upfield. It was totally un-necessary for him to have hit the player.

There are numerous camera's at a game, I'm pretty certain if there was anything done a wide angle camera would have seen it. But I did not see anything from the game.

I saw something, but Sky didn't go back to it. Looked like he kicked/kneed him when he was trying to get back up.

Just because Sky didn't show it doesn't mean a camera didn't pick it up. If the producer / editor didn't see it, they wouldn't go back to it - but its there, recorded,

Where did this so called event happen? I seem to recall Wellens being injured in the half surrounded by Wigan fans on all 3 sides. Perhaps some envious Saints fans saw a mirage.

It was in the second half and it was probably about the forty metre line. All the other players had moved up the pitch following the ball. You were probably watching the ball at the time but we could see the incident quite clearly.
