Interesting number 8 too, with the youngster Liam Kirk making it his own.

So McNally is staying for now. Big vote confidence for Liam Kirk to get the 8 jersey.

Tell you what, we've some depth in that squad for the long hard season ahead. More importantly, depth in all positions.

I agree. Very good squad for our first season back in the Championship.

There were also 6 players introduced this morning as members of the Reserve team . They haven't been given squad numbers but Kear said they will be given one as and when they play a First team game, either league or cup. Not sure if I remember them all correctly but I think they were:

Tom Doyle
Elliot Culling
Trea O'Sullivan
Luke Punton
Cobi Green.
Seemed a good idea and the lads concerned were all up for it.

Well Chalmers comments on the website said that we had 22 FT players, 14 PT players and 27 academy players.
So that's a decent sized squad and it's got a good balance with depth across all positions as well as an open door for the young lads to take the step up.

As I've said before, I think this team has enough about it to be pushing for a play-off spot come the end of 2019

That looks like a very competitive championship squad - nice balance to it too.
