Last season there were the odd Sundays live from the NRL on UK Setanta but as far as I can see this is not the case this year, does anyone know why at all?

It's still the football season. Once that is over and done with I am sure we will see more games. The last two seasons they have tended to show 4 live games a weekend from mid to late May.

I presume they will continue to show the Friday night game, 1 ot 2 live on a Saturday and the Same on a Sunday. This is how it worked in the past.

I've e-mailed Setanta asking why the coverage has been cut from 2 games to 1 for the next few weeks,if i get a reply i'll post it on the forum.

I've just looked to see what games were on this week and noticed that theres only Eels V Raiders on saturday morning.
What's happened to the game on friday mornings? Well disappointed with that as theres not much worth watching on setanta anyway.

Good question. Seems 1 live game a week is the trend till the end of May!! Thought the upcoming IPL cricket may cause problems but thats not starting for a while yet.

Hope this is altered as watching the Friday game has been the only plus I have had since been made redundant.

apparentley setanta are trying to strike a deal with fox and channel 9 in oz, so maybe in 6 weeks time or so there will be more then 3 live games per week... fingers crossed eh.

On other forums Setanta are saying it's so they can have extra cover to the Magners League. I don't understand this as it isn't as if they clash. Not many Magners games are kicking off at 08:30/09:30 on a Fri/Sat or Sun. Very Odd. I suspect more to do with the £10 mill they have just had to stump up to the FA for the soccer, apparantly got behind in payments & missed a deadline, than anything to do with the Celtic Onion.

I also e-mail then more than 9 working days ago, got a msg back saying theu would reply within 5 working days.........am still waiting but suspect they will fail to reply.

Anyway I've droped them and now get my NRL games via the NRL internet thru Oz Sport. OK there is a delay but all NRL games are covered & at half the cost of the pathtic Paddy offering.

What I find equally annoying is that they are showing two+ AFL games weekly......clearly showind a typical 'paddy' attitude.

Would suggest we e-mail the NRL expressing regret that they gave the contract to Ireland. Perhaps they could offer it 'next season' to Eurosport or one of the main channels i.e. Five.
