Story on the official site. Thoughts?

There are only 10 items at the moment but at least its a start. I feel the replica shirts would look better photographed both front & back on a plain white background. (Not just modelled)

Also I think it would be a good idea if there was a feature to allow fans to enter their email address so they can receive automatic e-mail updates when new items are added to the shop. This would also be useful for informing supporters about special offers and stock clearance items. I appreciate that the club may not make a fortune from online sales but it's still a great way of promoting club merchandise. A supporter may see a new sale item online or via email and then choose to buy it from the club shop the next time they attend a game.
Another idea would be to put a special discount code incentive in the match programme to encourage more online sales. eg, Web Exclusive - Buy this item online in the next 7 days and get a 15% discount! I also think it's worth considering having a poll on the shop site to find out what new merchandise the fans would like most.

It seems that the rantings on these forums might have contributed to the Club kick-starting their online presence?

Bit of a coincidence.

Another thought is to offer supporters a wish list of club merchandise. Allowing people to enter their full name and to select the items they would like. This could then be used by family, friends and work colleagues for Birthday and Christmas presents. (Especially useful when people haven't a clue what to buy them)

All style no substance, I'm sorry but if it has been work in progress ,then currently its crappy. I'm certainly not going to start high fiving and saying a huge thanks because it should of been done and ready at The beginning of the season! Think about The loss of customers in the time its taken to throw that up. Amateur again....

It needs some thought and ideas now. You can't just list a few items and then sit back and wait for the sales to roll in can you?

That is my point, why release a link to an online shop that is empty...honestly you couldn't make it up

If you don't mind me saying, moaning about a step forward seems a bit weird? true i did find it strange when looking for an online shop that the reds didn't have one, but they do now so isn tthat a good thing?

I will certainly be using it - has the things i was intedning to buy on there though (kids shirts and a ball)

Although the postage would be a bit steep at four fifty if i was only buying one thing!

OK , the timing is peculiar to launch an online shop to say the least .
credit to them that they have responded and put a presence online though.

to offer what is essentially now ' last years strip ' at full list price is silly , all other SL online shops are kicking out their exisiting strips at offer prices at around 19.99 - 24.99 , or launching ' next seasons . They should have some product at a discount as a tempter.

I'd also like to see a " membership card discount " for online purchases .

As for the girlie haircut comment , I stood next to the Bros' Adamson at the Wakey game and they both towered over me , Shoulder op or not I'm not calling him Shirley .
