| When I saw the teams line up at k.o. I thought what a huge fella, bet he can do some damage!
From then on it was down hill for him, I think the first four tries were down to his poor defence and even the little guys like myler were targetting him. Monas was just playing a couple to the right to stretch the Quins line and then a few long passes later Pryce was on a one to one with Bridge. No contest.
What a waste of what could have been a huge talent!

| In fairness to Pryce (and I am no fan) he was a victim of our method of play.

| Karl price was where we struck but all the damage was done mullering chad Randell down our right hand channel. He must have made 3 tackles in every set for 70% of the game.
Even when he went in at hooker we constantly went back at where he defended and our players where constantly pointing at where he was in the line.
Obviously that sucked quinns in and allowed us with some slick handling to get an overlap in pryces channel.

| I've never seen any evidence of this 'huge talent'... just a huge person with the heart of a door mouse.
The first time he got the ball yesterday, he strolled onto a pass 10 yards from our line... Rhys Evans was onto him like a shot, putting a good hit in... 2 more followed up in the tackle.. I think Pyrce got up a few yards behind where he took the ball in, looking like he had been dragged through a hedge backwards...Powell took him straight off after that if i remember correctly.

Sounds like Kate Price would have offered better defence.

Victim? or cause of.
Watching that first ten minutes and the repeated movement, down the right, ship it left quickly. I was just wondering if El Bosso had done some major homework on the video and spotted something in their defence this week, he must've seen something to exploit.
On pryce, seriously now, he's been around for nearly 7 years, and we've played against him many times, has anyone actually seen anything resembling actual talent worth rewarding from him?
And yes pie eaters, i'm not taking into account the walk ins he got for you at the back end of last year, or the walk ins he scored while bradford were kicking everyone in sight.
i reckon he's just too big, and hasn't got an aggressive bone in his body.

| What struck me was how disinterested he looked. Even at the team gatherings after we scored, he was stood slightly out of the group, and appeared not to be interested in what was being said.

| Huge bloke, but you are right when you ask about his potential.
Yes, he can go over from a couple of yards out but I can't recall anything that would look like any kind of special talent, just a big bloke who never looks particularly interested.

just doesn't seem to have any aggression in him to run, compare how he was/is to how matty blythe is running theball in these days, its worlds apart.
You'd possibly see a big bloke like that in the pack, but if he hasn't got the GRR for the backs, pointless in the forwards.
anyone on here remember back in SL1 and 2, the broncos had a centre called DAvid Krause, who was about the same height as karl pryce, but he was a bugger to tackle, really ran his size against opposing smaller centres adn was all elbows and knees.
