| The whole parade of penalties yesterday were a farce. It is perfectly natural for a defender to target ball contact but it now seems like any loose carry or attempt to promote the ball that results in lost possession now seems to favour the attacking side and they gain a penalty.
Ridiculous.

| Yesterdays games was refereed to a different spec than a regular Super League game and the frustration was clear to see on both sets of players. The fans of both teams and the general rugby league fan watching would have been equally frustrated. At more than one point in the game players from both teams were getting the Ref to go to the screen for decisions.

| Its just inconsistent. What should happen is like an amatuer ref used to do for our team. Any ball that came loose was classed as a loose carry. Then we had a scrum no arguments we should have kept hold of it. End of

| My Biggest gripe came with the Chris bridge moving off the mark penalty. He had a Hull player at his feet! What was he supposed to do ? (and thats the only time im going to defend his shocking performance)

| Ball stealing appears to be a toss of a coin. Most tackles in RL look the same so when the ball comes out it appears the referees just don't have a clue and just go with the crowd/players. Some are blatantly clear and it's an easy call, but when there's four men in the tackle and the ball drops out, how dafuq are they supposed to call it?

| I'm glad this topic has come up as I think it is becoming quite an issue. The NRL now have two referees; one marking out the defensive line and one watching the ruck. Warrington are guilty of doing this as much as any team and in the QF the likes of M Monas and Waterhouse forced some 'dropped balls' that were classed as 'loose carries' by the Huddersfield players. Hands get everywhere in a three man tackle and the referees usually judge a knock on.

I am surprised that no-one has caught on to the fact there has been a change of match ball supplier recently...
www.rhinorugby.com/store/blog/14 ... lenge-cup/
Apparently the Rhino ball is more difficult to keep hold of, especially when wet (Mr Wilkin ) than the Steeden ball it replaced and there are calls to go back to the Steeden ball.
Maybe that has something to do with the alleged 'ball steals' ?

| I thought the best example was when Tickle tried to offload and got a penalty in his favour when he made a mess of it.
I also noticed that a lot of the time Silverwood had his back to the tackle as it was being completed. Instead of running backwards to the 10 metre point he tends to turn round and make his ground with his back to the tackle.
