Read about it in the Guardian earlier in the week, great gesture by the club to have him over for breakfast with the players and staff.

It's great that his last few weeks are being made so enjoyable for him.

He's the nicest man you'll ever meet, and you could talk to him all day. Jock absolutely loves the club, and he pops to the stadium on his scooter every day.

I loved going to matches with him and Cynthia when I was younger.

What a fabulous interview makes you feel so humble. I feel like a novice having been watching the Wire for only 47 years. Don't know Jock but he comes across as a true gentlemen in the interview and can't argue with his choice of great players. Top gesture by the club too, what RL is all about.

did he catch the coach at haydock street for away games on barbaras coaches...im certain its him and from what i recall he was a gent..

God that poor man must have suffered. Deserves a rather large medal.

Yes he was always on those coaches for away games. Seen him loads of times in recent years around Sankey on his scooter. Always stops for a chat about the match. Real star.
