Great player but for crying out loud for the last 2 years he has pretty much carried the pack. Reward it may be but does he really need yet more responsibility?. If he wants it then fair enough but I would rather see him concentrate on being an absolute top prop. Interested to see how it pans out as he will not be on the paddock for the 80. I suspect it is due to the respect all the players probably have for him that has swung it but whether he is an organiser and motivator only time will tell. I suspect or rather hope that Gidley will be a good mouth piece on the paddock
