| I can remember watching this match on TV at home, but I can't remember who scored;
!967 BBC Floodlit competition, Wire v Hull KR away. Hull KR were attacking down their right hand side very close to our line.
Who intercepted and scored ?
What was the final score ?
Perhaps one for BW

Scorer :-Alan Aspey
Final Score:- Wire won a very close scoring game. Can`t remember the exact score without looking it up, which would be cheating.

| That's impressive, he didn't play many games for us. Final score was 13-12 to Wire btw.
Here is another oldie (easy one);
He is one of my favourite SO's, played for Wire in the 60's, scored 55 tries (had to look that up), won a GB cap on the tour to NZ.
Who was he ?
Which club did he join after Wire ?

Could that be Willie Aspinall? My favourite player as a little lad along with Mick Hennigan. Think Willie left us for Rochdale iirc.

| I also thought it was Willie Aspinall. Played quite a few games at full-back along with Keith Affleck. My favourite player at the time was Jackie Melling.

| Yes, both correct it was Aspinall.
I will make the next question a bit harder as most people will probably remember this era well
Who was the deceptively quick Wire FB that scored two tries in a mid 1980's win for Wire over our close neighbours in a John Player Trophy semi ?

Next you'll be telling me you never had to use Izal toilet paper. We had both an inside and outside loo. If you liked spiders and wanted to read a paper in peace, and without nodding off, could be considered to be ideal.

| Sorry BH, MPN got that one correct it was indeed Johno, who then went on to coach but resigned after the 80-0 defeat away to Saints.
Next one could be a bit tricky:
What cunning plan did Wire use to avoid paying water rates at the HJ stadium ?
