| We are playing the best RL Team in the world & we are short of 5 forwards from our pre-season squad & also most likely missing one of the best attacking players in the game. It is going to be very difficult. Hopefully our fans will carry us through on a wave of positive encouragement.

| Similar squad to the team that took the field against Hull FC to win 7/7 in terms of players missing
Dufty; Russell, Minikin, Ratchford, Ashton; Williams, Drinkwater; Mikaele, Walker, Vaughan, Currie, Nicholson, Mata'utia
Interchanges
Clark, Bullock, Kassiano, Maguire and Harrison all missing from the team that day and we blew Hull FC away in the first half. Ok Hull were poor back then and Saints are a different proposition now but there were similar numbers missing but still managed a decent performance. Would be good to see us heading back towards those levels.

| Though I think a few players need to be sat out, I just can't see Thomas or Whitehead coming in. Assuming Williams won't play the big question is who will replace him, my guess is it will be Mata'utia, but I'd probably prefer Ratchford (and I'm no fan of Ratchford in the halves). I think it would make more sense to have Whitehead on the bench to spell Holroyd, but we're probably likely to see Russell on the bench and moving the team around to accommodate Holroyd having a rest (a problem for us atm - consistency in position).
I'd guess we will line up:
Dufty
Thewlis
Wrench
Ratchford
Ashton
Mata'utia
Drinkwater
Vaughan
Clark
Dudson
Currie
Holroyd
Philbin
Walker
Green
Bullock
Russell

A list of excuses followed by blaming the crowd. You could have waited until after the match Daryl.

If the team show effort and desire the crowd will get behind them.

I agree.
I'm not a booing type, and can't speak for others that do, but a fair proportion of the half time unrest may have been aimed at Kendall rather than the team, (we weren't given anything by the man in the middle).
Yes we were poor in execution but for all the ineptitude and basic errors of the first 20 minutes, Kasiano's binning galvanised our efforts for that middle section of the match and into the second half until Myler's try. IF only we could have fashioned something in attack instead of fluffing our lines, a score by us at 60mins would have given us last quarter.
Apologies for the thread drift
