Last Sunday I was giving out LISA forms in the main stand and was pleasently surprised about the number of people who wanted to help and took a form.

However, I have a general observation. The age profile of Leigh spectators isn't good. I know it is difficult to get young people to move away from the Tv or Xbox but if Leigh want future supports it's need to attract more . I don't have figures but it felt like there were more young people at HP. I know it costs but I think we have to give free entry with an adult for under 16's and have stalls with plenty of sweets, pop etc at reasonable prices. Otherwise in fewer years than we think our crowds will go down.

We need to ' grow our own ' , start breeding people



Seriously you are right , ' new ' is the future , not ' old ' , or ' stay away '

One simple answer , the WMBC community stand , they pay for it to be opened , we fill it

good post, Hilton Park was very child friendly! we used have parky every game giving out sweets and the bouncy castle at the top of the terrace! Don't forget the mick martyn bar too

we just need new ideas to drag them in! let the under 16 year olds in free on an adult season ticket. this may annoy a few that have paid for kiddie season tickets

Wind in ing the , springs to mind , its no good trying to tempt people a few at a time , we need the blanket approach , drag them in by the thousands , make the stadium a noisy vibrant atmospheric place that they want to return to , I have no doubt that is what the LSV actually want

Obviously apart from the ' noisy ' bit , no doubt the stewards would tell them all to be quiet

When we played Widnes last year there were loads of kids inthe East Stand, can't remember what they did but why not repeat it?

They only come to see Widnes.

That's why we need to entertain them more at other games.

Well that's a nice thought but I think kids just like to see lots of tries.

Kids need to feel part of things and often its the silly little things that matter to them, I've posted before about seeing themselves on the screen, and in todays pc world what I'm about to say probably can't happen but could Wayne not take as many photos of as possible of kids in the crowd before the game, and have them all quickly displayed at ht, and then it stops on one of them and they win a free hot dog, tube of glow sticks

or something?

Unfortunately my 'new' filming position means that putting a live feed of the crowd is not now possible, and as what we do with the footage now appears to be working I can't see Basil wanting a change.
