What about Lemmy - in tribute to the Motorhead front man. We can rebrand as The Leigh Lemmings with Lemmy the Lemming as the mascot.

The reason for this thread is because DB only thinks the fans are important enough to name a mascot that was inspired by that intellectual programme The Masked Singer. Traditional colours, new name, kit design, match days, were done deals and stuff the fans but hey, you can help us name the Jaguar lol. It shows the esteem the ordinary fans are held in after supporting them through thick and thin. Hence the daft comments.

If you put these things on social media, there is nothing stopping rival fans from hijacking the vote. Boaty McBoatface was a prime example. If you want to call it RRS Sir David Attenborough then don't ask the general public, (or else you end up with Brexit or something equally crazy).

If Deggsy went to a local school and asked the kids for a mascot name, that would be more market research than went into Leigh Leopards.
