| What does everyone think about the start of his Wigan career? I thought he had a good game tonight, topped off with a touch of class for farrells try. Good all round number 6 in my opinion, takes the line on, good hands, clever and a good defender.
Thoughts?

| prertty happy with what i've seen up to now
i hadnt really seen that much of him previously
he looks like he will take on the line more than Finch did which is something we have lacked over last couple of years as Tommy / Finch never really ran at the line that much, they could do it but chose the moment
both Green and Smith look sound defensively as well. i thought we may struggle in that aspect as TL played well above his weight defensively

| Didn't see him at Hull KR or if I did I din't notice him. The first time I watched him properly was at the Salford friendly. You could tell then there's a touch of class about him. He's got a great delayed pass and I can see Tomkins and Farrell scoring plenty off him this year.
This is gonna sound daft but he reminds me of Trent Barrett. I'm not saying he's in the same class as Barrett but he's a stand-off in that mould if that makes sense? Big powerful stand-off with a good passing and kicking game.

| what impressed me tonight about both our halves, was they way they just got on with the job.
nothing extravagant or fancy, but nothing stupid or idiotic. 2 professional players, that did the basics well, linked well, and kept the team moving in the right direction.
quietly impressive with touches of class

| I thought he did very well last night. He organised well, showed touches of class and the partnership with Matty Smith looks promising.
Early days yet and so there is plenty of room for improvement but the signs are really promising.

He went well, however I think you'll see the best of him once we get drier grounds. he has a decent turn of pace at 6 something we haven't had for a while at Wigan.
How was the view from the pensioners stand.

| Good enough start - hopefully as he settles more into the team we will see more in attack, thought both halves were solid - certainly nothing of concern, promising for the team.

He seems to have settled in very quickly. I think we are extremely lucky to have this halfback partnership, hopefully we will get 5 years + out of them together. We've been crying out for a long term partnership for years.
Enjoyed it Brian! But forgot my blanket and flask

| He's started off very well. He's solid in defence and in attack what I've been most impressed with is his cool head in tight positions where he could easily lose it. The Faz try was a perfect example of how he could have panicked and thrown a wild pass risking an intercept but he saw them push out, straightened up and walked through the gap that had been left. They were the sort of situations Finch lost his head in during the play offs last year. I'm not slating Finch here, Green will have to go some to be as good a player but his form was poor at the back end of his Wigan career and we now have a bloke that's just busting a gut to make an impression.
Good signs.

| Finch was injured for a while and then hopeless till the second half of his first season. He was then in decline for the second half of his second season. So, Blake is already well ahead of him.
For our new half back combination to slot in so seamlessly is a credit to them as players, but also to the coaching staff. Wane, obviously, but I trust Harris and Deacs have plenty of input. Isn't it wonderful to have a kicking game? It makes everything much easier.
I think Green will offer us more and more regularly than Finch, at 6, particularly as we get him fit. What do they do at HKR all day? Don't hey have fitness coaches?
Really like him.

| All seems to be fitting together nicely. The backroom team seem to be doing an excellent job and I am really looking forward to the season ahead.
