Are ‘performance bonuses’ awarded by the RFL to its employees?

If they are, has the so-called ‘Controller of Referees’ been awarded any for his inability to actually ‘control’ his employees?

Week-in, week-out, supporters of Championship clubs are ‘treated’ to pathetic displays by so-called ‘referees’ and their assistants, whose supposed role is to ensure the safety of the players and implement the 'Rules of the Game' in a totally UNBIASED manner; yet, on how many occasions does this actually occur?

They hand-out plaudits to each other and self-gratification is rife, yet do they actually care about the Championship? I think not!

All that they're concerned with is themselves and their self-promotion!

I'm with you, giving a try on the 7th tackle is a disgrace!

Although I only add the highlights, I have just watched again the build up to the 1st try on my video and it would appear the ref struggled to count and let us have 7.

However if the ref had sent your 6 & 11 off for the stupid and crazy spear tackle I don't think the Bonus point would have been even a dream.

I think he made more than one bad / weak decision each way.

That said, I don't think I could do any better and it is easy for me saying it with the benefit of video afterwards.

Although I can count to 6.

I know the spear tackle looked bad watching it live but we tend to over react at the time. However it upsets me to say but it was actually worse watching it on video. Apart from the 2 players who commited this foul act the referee should also be banned for a couple of games. There was no sound reason for just putting it on report (what must go through their head!)

The Ref to be honest could have done better.

He did appear to make another error earlier in his game in his tackle count prior to Mossy's try also.

He's looking straight at it. How on earth can he put it on report?

Surely its time the on report debacle should cease not just because of Korky incident but also Rangi Chase assault on fev player.

As far as I am aware rfl review games anyway so the refs should make a decision and do the job they are paid to do. If it turns out the ref makes a mistake then accept it as a mistake but by using the on report it gives impression refs are bottling it.

Can clubs cite players for incidents as they do in the inferior rugby code?
