Let's just fight on and get a win somewhere.'"
I know that you are usually the voice of reason PT but, I think that now is a time for honesty.
Chester, for all of the great work that he's done since he joined Trinity, is now in the same position as Tony Smith (Casper) of a few seasons ago.
Unfortunately, he is no longer the man who can steer us away from relegation and he, along with the rest of us, is just desperately hoping that, Huddersfield, Leeds KR and London dont win anymore games.
Unfortunately, I think that right now, Trinity vs London at BV on 15th September will be a genuine MPG
Leeds, have shuffled the pack and look to be improving
KR, even with the loss of Parcel, look organised and fighting for everything
London, on a shoestring budget and having beaten us twice, may only need one more win, plus, beating us on the last day of the season to secure their top flight status.
Huddersfield any win form their last 7 games and with KR, Leeds and Salford to come, plus Catalan for their last game, when the French side will be "on the beech", will surely win one or two more games.
Lets face it, Trinity look like they wont win another game and its just a question of whether those below us in the table can scrape enough points to overtake us and unfortunately, I think that they will.
When Smith lost his way a few years ago, Kear rescued us in dramatic fashion but now, I dont see a new miracle coach either wanting the challenge or being asked to help.
The first 40 minutes tonight was frightening.
We were against a severely depleted Wigan side, without anything close to their first choice pack and yet, we kept our more potent forwards on the bench until after the game was lost.
Yes, the bounce of the ball went against us but, our defence was bloody pitiful.
Chester desperately needs some help or, needs to be replaced and quickly. The guy looks broken.
