Leeds are missing him in my opinion.

Smith went down South for less money than the Rhinos were offering. He wanted to be with his girlfriend who was an ex-emerdale actress and was moving to London for work.
Looks like one of them is enjoying the South more than the other.

Rumour has it Kev Penny is off to Widnes with Smith replacing him on Penny's current salary with a review at the end of the season. Ideal replacement for Chris Hicks who is likely to retire at the end of the season and can also cover FB and cntre at a push.

Personally would be disappointed if Penny went - you can't coach his speed or ability to take the defence in the outside but Smith has pedigree at the highest level and will allow us to use Hicks' quote place in another area next season.

Lee smith is a good SL player and he is proven in SL.....for £60,000 i think we should be making every effort going to sign him because he can only add strength to the gleeson/blanch wing...coincidently an area where we get cut to ribbons on a regular basis. weve done alright financially out of the brough deal so lets see some of he money put directly back into the team!
