Looks like more players will be leaving soon as it looks like the Salford saga is going to drag on for a few weeks more according to their CEO . The deal they signed when they left the Willows more or less condemned them to this fate by not making a penny from anything at the new stadium .

Is McDonald exempt from the overseas quota?
As far as I'm aware the RFL haven't mentioned anything regarding cap or quota with salford.
Maybe Rovers will try and bribe big Nige with all you can eat at the burger van end.
It was never made official but apparently the clubs voted (including Salford) to grant exemptions for quota players for a year. The reason it never happened was Salford simply refused to sell anyone. If any exemptions were voided when they lifted the restrictions for a week is anyone’s guess. If Salford say they need to sell a couple of high earning players to balance the books I’d imagine they’ll allow exemptions.
