Really good, sometimes forget he's only young.

He's an absolute monster for his age. His runs are really effective with his traditional hit and spin method. Easily a future star in the game.

Will go all the way to the top in the game. Never stops running, never wants to come off and never misses a tackle. Looks like a coaches dream and clearly enjoys every minute he plays.

He's no Jake Emmitt though!

True Wigan are thinking of recalling him he's been going that well, whereas Saints would rather play hookers at prop



Or did I forget we have to bow down to the greatness of Leigh as there having a good start to the season with their amazing team and army of followers



Really impressed by Davies, looked ok at the start but when injuries hit he really stood up, runs a good line and as mentioned know how to spin out of a tackle and make himself tricky to bring down just by running in the right places, along with Farrell destined for a great future!

You do realise that Saints tried to recall Emmitt for this weekend, don't you?

I was going to make this point but you've basically covered it.

I'd say Davies is a more exciting player but in terms of who i'd want in my team? Definately Emmitt. He does all the hard yard that dont get appreciated. He's the kind of grafter than every team needs and if saints don't want him we should snap their hands off for him!

Very soft by Saints then... when they first had Dean back they'd keep him start of the week just in case Gidley wasn't fit etc and then if was just didn't play him. So odd didn't do same here but obviously worked out well for your lot!

Think they appreciate the benefits of him playing regularly for us, though I must admit that I'm now a little wary that we might not see as much of him later in the season if he keeps knocking on the first team door at Saints.

Clearly we thought our DC's through more than the mutants



Liam farrell and chris dean have barely played for widnes, sean ainscough stunk on friday and admittedly ben davies is a very very good young player.

However we seem to have picked 4 youngsters who, despite being very good prospects, are just not quite making the 1st team regularly and so we are getting the full benefit from them.

TBF Farrell hadn't yet debued for Wigan and played every game for us until the last few weeks and then only went back initially after a few back row & centre (Bailey switch) injuries and has stayed becuase he has been one of their best lads by all accounts!

Taking 3 in same spot may have seemed a bit risky but as Wire brought in Solomona without losing a back rower and having Vinnie Anderson & Jon Clarke in the reserves wasn't a bad option!
