| I sincerely hope they don't fold.I'm all for being a traditionalist but surely after 4 years existence it will just go to prove what a laughing stock our sport really is when it comes to the Redhall Madcap expansion scheme.

Might make room in the SL for a real RL club for next season.'"
Sad but not surprising really ...is it ?
Does this mean we can now sign Sammut for scrum half ? ( Burrow to be impact hooker off the bench of course.... IF he stays ? Watch this space )

| Careful here guys!
This looks like it is a tax demand from HMRC, exactly like Wakefield's, for image rights and off-shore payments to players and overseas players respectively. This might not be about financial mismanagement... and it looks like every single Super League club is going to get one!

Rumour has it that Leeds Rhinos are leading the legal fight for the whole of SL on this one, probably because we will have one of the bigger bills to pay, but they are trying to broker a game wide deal, the same as the Football League and RFU have already apparently done.
I also understand that this will end up in another legal challenge, probably from a Premier League football club and of course if HMRC lose then they might be the ones paying back the money in the longer term.

Saints have nothing to fear. We Ok'd everything with HMRC, the only club to do so.

| HMRC are trying every tactic in their portfolio to bring money in at the moment, even to the extent of threatening individuals with "further action" when they don't owe any tax
I pity anyone who has to deal with them, they are the most inefficient incompetent and unfit for purpose organisation I have ever had the displeasure to deal with - what sort of private business would proudly announce that they are looking back through their books to see if any monies are due from up to six years ago
Those civil servants who will be getting their P45's in the next year are in for a nsty shock when they try and work in the real world - try telling your boss in the factory down the road that one of your customers has got away with not paying his bills for six years and see how high he'll kick your a[irs[/ie before sacking you...

Agreed: it's scandalous.
Many more people could be hit by unexpected tax demands as the Government's tax collectors plough though a queue of 17.8million unresolved tax problems dating back six years.
The details held by HMRC are so scant that the department has no idea how many people are affected, or how much money is involved.
In an emergency statement to the Commons, a Mr Gauke promised that Revenue & Customs would seek to claw back unpaid income tax 'as painlessly as possible'.
We need our own Taxed Enough Already party ( a better educated less bigoted version of course )
