Someone mentioned on another post, why is owens getting picked.
i completely agree turner should be on the wing ahead of owens, he might even be a revelation on the wing.
Id bring back josh perry to play on the wing over owens. What a crap signing he has turned out to be
although to be fair josh perry does remain undefeated as the worst signing ever...

According to Long on Friday, our back 3 typically cover 10-12km a match - can you see Turner, given the shape he's in, being able to cover that sort of distance, and still being effective with the ball? Coupled with his complete inability to bend (thus susceptible to the grubber) it could be a complete disaster. While Owens is poor, I don't think any of his performances have been [icomplete[/i disasters...
Swift is due back for the CC game I believe ... its a case of holding out until then... |

Owens should be spelled in the reserves for at least a month to see if he actually has a mojo to get back.
Obviously I would pick Swift or Tommy over Turner if they were available, but as they are not we may as well try him there. I wouldn't hold my hopes out for a sparkling performance though. |

I'd agree , Turner on the wing in his current state would be a recipe for disaster |

Why do we constantly try to find a spot for Turner? If he's not good enough for centre (he isn't) then simply don't pick him.

IT was less about finding a place for Turner and more about whether there was a better option than Owens.
For the end of season I would agree it's maybe time for a few to move on and Turner would be in that group, but I still would like him to have a run on the wing if it's him or Owens.

He's very much outside the first 17 when Swift returns, so Turner will be OK as a back up player, as mentioned will give KC another option than Owens who hasn't been a disaster in the last couple of games to be honest.

Owens got a very good report card from those attended yesterdays game and too be fair he's having to run around for lomax at the moment
