Sounds like the consensus is that he's performing well for them in a 'support' role on and off the field, but his days of being the main half-back are well behind him.

Then again, it will be interesting to view this thread should Wigan suffer a bit of a form slump. Their fans seem unusually vocal & optimistic across RLfans at the moment. It will be very interesting if, for example, the Bulls turn them over this weekend

That would be down to the refereeing & a Leeds bias at Red Hall.

Good for Deacs, he's an absolute legand but hopefully Wigan don't play well on friday and deacs will get an heroes welcome.

Looking forward to welcoming Deacon back to Odsal, I am sure he'll get a great reception. Really looking forward to this game now, fingers crossed we put in a good performance now.

He certainly should do. Much like other players who've left in the past, he may have dwindled a little towards the latter years, but he was a big player for us and a very loyal servant. He deserved to have a proper send off, which of course couldn't happen, so hopefully he'll get something akin to that on Friday night.

he was rubbish against Wire first half, missing tackles, poor kicking, passing to no-one. Second half he went to acting half, with Leulai (sp) at SH & it turned the game.

I just hope that Deacs gets a great reception as he should do, great player for our club and on his day, one of the best scrum halfs around!

I hope the group of idiots (from the Hudds game) don't start to 'boo' him in a football atmosphere type of way!
