You could do far worse than young Kershaw from Wakefield on a year long loan. He went very well at Oldham last year but is a far way from a starting spot.

Whilst your owner may not have a great relationship with Wakefield, JK certainly does & could be the key to picking up a good replacement, with experience at your level.

Yes, this has clearly been coming for a while, and the way its been handled reflects very well on the club.

He's obviously going to sign for Leigh, which I have no issue with. Hopefully he'll have a mare against us

but I wish him well on every other level

Short but sweet with some lovely tries. Was looking forward to seeing an uninterrupted season from him but as mentioned above, hope all goes well for him in everything except games against us.

Gone back to Oldham on loan for next year I read somewhere

He played on Boxing Day, hadn’t heard anything about him returning to Oldham. Not saying you’re wrong though, pal.

I guess so Paul, and the fans will welcome him back with open arms - he was very popular here. Full marks to the Bulls and their fans, who have, predictably, handled this very well.



Tell you what though - much as I would love to see him at Leigh, I'd much rather his wife was restored to full health, and he stayed at the Bulls. Sadly though, that isn't an option.

Just looking at the teams in the championship, and how ill his wife is, wouldn’t be surprised if he takes some time out,only 3 teams local to Leigh in this division

I said recently that if McNally's wife was indeed this ill, the right thing for the club to do was release him and not start trying to get compensation as one or two on here were suggesting. The club has now done that and well done to them. Absolutely the right thing to do and the right noises made in the statement that some things come before the game, the sport or the club. Hopefully it's a help to Gregg and his family and all the best to them for fighting the illness and recovering as best is possible.
