Interesting to note that I first posted about a Burgess (I quoted the wrong one admittedly) coming here around 6 weeks ago, so it was on the cards before then.

If souths struggled to get Inglis on how have they managed to get Luke in?

Mcpherson is proving to be a very able, agile frontrower, as is pettybourne

Lang rarely changes a team unless there are injuries or absolute terrible form & we lose about three in a row

He may get a run at some stage this year, depending on injuries & who comes back from injury, he'll be usefull depth next year

Lang will always play his best team, irrelevant of how someone is filling in for a better player. His words to me a couple of years ago at pre-season training.

Anyway, Geddes is hoping to be back by August also.

Geddes, Stuart, Burgess are gone for the season, Asotasi till round 24.

Lowe and Luke Burgess will probably be back for the week after next and I'd be amazed if they don't come straight in, for Peats and McQueen I'd guess.

Geddes, Stuart, Burgess & Asotasi have been gone for weeks & in some cases months, the pack at the moment is actually playing better than when they were all fit

The narrow loss to the Warriors, Penrith & Melbourne were all quite encouraging & a very good display last week from the pigs

I see L Burgess starting for Norths before he gets a start with Souths & if they keep playing well & winning a few, he may have to bide his time until injury forces Langs hand
