| Quote @JRRickert - Had a great chat today with the agent of one of the greatest british rugby kickers ever. Working on bringing him to the NFL. Stay Tuned!
@JasonLaCanfora - For those wondering about the brit rugby player who @JRRickert may bring to the NFL. I hear it's Kevin Sinfield of Leeds Rhinos'"

| Would think him and Pat Richards would be the leading contenders...
NFL could also suit Jamie Foster - granted the helmet may mess up his hair do, but he would have plenty of time to re-style it and wouldnt have to worry about catching the ball or tackling anybody

| As if it's that easy to get into the NFL
They would need to make a teams roster first of all if they impress, then they would end up on a practice squad if they had strong enough legs/were good enough, practice squad members don't get paid anywhere near as much as the big boys. If they were to make a final roster they would be getting around $300k to start with I reckon which sounds good but there's no job security at all for even the best kickers, sometimes they miss a kick on the Sunday and are cut first thing Monday morning!
If it was that easy I'd be doing it!

| Being a kicker in the NFL is p155 easy. All the kicks are from in front of the posts. Anyone could do it.

| Surely kicking in the NFL is the easiest job in the world? What a boring sport and what an easy way to make a living.
I really can't see him doing it though. His kicks in league are about accuracy, in the NFL it's about distance when punting and straightness and distance when going for field goals. I just don't see what benefit there would be for the NFL side, as he wouldn't be as good as someone who'd kicked American football style all his career. And I doubt there would be any commercial benefit to it, it's not like Michael Jordan playing baseball, his capture wouldn't increase revenue streams.

Yeah, but somebody holds it for them - all they have to do is kick it
Might be boring as hell but not the worst way to earn a few million pounds a year

| We'd gladly have him down for a training session or two at my uni team. I might "accidentally" hit him late though.
