You'd think so, but a lot of people I've seen are complaining saying they don't want to have to listen to Dave Woods and spouting the usual request "we want Andrew Voss". |

Excellent news. Hopefully given the Beeb will have very little other live sport in its schedules by that time of the year they can promote and trail the games adequately.

The beeb's coverage of RL keeps getting better each year, the camera work isn't always great, but the commentators and pundits are generally very good (apart from Crabtree).

If the games match the last two tests between these two it will be the perfect showcase for RL, especially to people who might have watched international Union recently. Good it's going to reach millions of people.

International TV rights have been with the BBC for years and are with them for years to come, I think until after the 2017 World Cup. In fact I can't even remember the last international match televised by Sky OP so I'm not sure why this was a surprise to you.

I'm very happy to see RL on the Beeb rather than Sky, but I honestly can't enthuse *that* much about the coverage. Yeah, it's better than Sky, but that's not saying much, is it? Frankly I still miss Clare Balding. I don't think 'Chappers' is anywhere near as good. And couldn't they pension off Nobby for good? He never has anything interesting to say. And yeah, Crabtree is awful. |
