| it has now become pretty clear cut: there is a new Big Four consisting of Hull FC, Warrington, Catalans and Wigan.
It is hard to see the other eight clubs getting close, even though St. Helens and Castleford on their days may spring an upset from time to time.
Which two clubs do you see contesting Old Trafford?

| Of what I,ve seen so far Hull and Catalan look the strong contenders, its the performance at the business end of the season that matters though which usually means Wigan and St Helens get there act together, can Hull-Warrington and Catalans keep form for the next 16 games.
Castleford are entertaining but can they play conservative rugby which might be required in the play off stage. Probably would like to see Hull as super league champions this year they are very good balanced team.

| all depends on the top 4 at the split, this weekend fc could have a 8 point advantage over saints/wakey in 5th place
as an fc fan if we have that lead going into the split id be delighted and would give us a big chance of reaching the semis' and final

| Hull v Warrington/Catalans is looking the likeliest at this stage.
But when it comes to the S8s and semi-finals, big game mentality plays a huge part. Just ask Huddersfield.

unlike huddersfield, hull fc do have players that have been to finals and won, granted some of the younger ones haven't but a few senior players have

Agree - Pritchard, Ellis, Pryce etc. will show how good they are during that period.

| Can't see past a Wigan/Hull final - questions marks over Wire because of their dependency on Sandow. Catalans have been blowing hot and cold recently.

| Hull have been impressive since the defeat at Widnes. I reckon it's between Wigan and Warrington who will face them in the GF.

| Hull FC have got to be favourites for one spot at Old Trafford on current form. But who the other team is likely to be will depend on form at the back end of the season. Warrington definitely need Christopher Sandow playing in order to be contenders. Wigan need to be at full strength to be a serious prospect. Sean O'Loughlin and Liam Farrell are important for them.
Next week's game between Catalans and Leeds will be an indicator of Catalans prospects. Although they are missing Richard Myler, if Catalans cannot beat the current out of sorts Leeds, even at Headingley, then I can't see Catalans making Old Trafford. However if they do win I think that they are still well in the mix, especially given that the valuable Richard Myler is still to return, late in June perhaps, and the talented Paul Aiton will play again at some point.
Todd Carney and Richard Myler are a powerful creative combination for the Catalans team, and Eloi Pelissier and Paul Aiton will make the best hooker alternation combo in Super League.
