Yeah only reigning SL Champions and WCC winners who had made the Grand Final for 5 consecutive years.

While he is poor, he can’t take all the blame, they have recruited badly for years. The core group of French players they had have either retired or left, while the big money imports (most notably Bird) just aren’t doing it

Cunningham, Simmons, Betts, Kevin Walters and James Webster could be in for a shout.

TBF to McNamara at Bradford, all their best players were either leaving early in his reign or left at the end of the 2005 GF (Peacock and Pryce) and any coach would struggle with the turnover of players they had.

That's true but he was in charge for 4 years and they didn't make the playoffs once, having never missed the playoffs before he took over.

They did. Took over a 1/3rd into the 2006 season when they were 3rd and they finished 4th.

3rd in 2007 and 5th in 2008. Missed out in 2009 and 2010 but look at the Bradford squad then compared to 2000-2005

My mistake, thought they missed out in 2007 and 2008. That arguably is even worse then as things completely fell apart while he was in charge.

Shows that when he had a better squad he could make the playoffs. The reason why Bradford and now Catalans went backwards have a lot more to do with the way the clubs were run by management.

they were nowhere near this bad before he took over, and he has had an entire off-season to at least make them look like they have been coached (currently look like a rabble with no evident plan)
