| Both fantastic in their time. Both ex-Wigan too from the era when the Pieaters produced a conveyor load of talent!
So, who really is the best of these two greats, and who compares today?

| Offiah. Best try scoring winger of that time. Brilliant wingman.
Robinson was also very good, two different types of player but Offiah was the better of the two.

They bought Offiah for a world record fee and Robinson was made in hunslet, rejected by leeds ( crazy i know) before being taken on by Wigan.

| Conveyer belt of purchases. Neither made there.
Offiah for me. Best I've ever seen.
Robinson was great but before he went to Union he started to get targeted for the high ball against taller opposition. We left at the right time.

| Offiah - easily the best I've ever seen.
I remember watching him demolish us, and some old lad turned to his mate and said, "he's a bloody one trick pony that Offiah - all he does is score tries." Classic miserable old Wakey fan banter.

| Martin Offiah is the greatest winger in the history of Rugby League. End of. It will be a very long time for someone to emerge who could even lace his boots.

| Billy Boston and Brian Bevan might have something to say about that, plus a fair few others from down under! Of his time, though, I agree and I've seen none better since, at least in Britain.

Wigan did not produce Offiah, he was a doug Laughton fine at Widnes.
Offiah was mikes better than Robinson. Robinson was good, but not an an out n out winger, he was a half playing on wing. And also not very consistent.

A one trick he did over 500 times.

Still have Offiah over all if them. He made players with pace look very ordinary, he had the pace and exeleration of an olympic 200m runner and swerve as well.
Scored a try when at salford against leeds and even though he had slowed down by meters still went round about 5 leeds players.

| I'm not saying Offiah can't be the top, I just don't think it is cut and dried. But re the original question of Offiah vs Robinson, much as I respect Robinson I totally agree with what looks like the consensus here, Offiah every time.
