| Roby is out for saints with Fages set to replace him and Turner maybe moving to the halves
Roby missing has got to be a bonus for us. Be interesting to see if Fages can control a games better for Saints and look like a proper hooker than he could for us. Having their big forwards running off him will help him and create gaps for him to scoot into which could be problematic for us
To
As an aside it is getting almost comical how much our fans criticise Salford for playing our young players out of position when the same players are more than happy to play anywhere at other clubs...

| Griffin will move into the centres in Sau’s absence and Johnson will go onto the wing. Koukash has just tweeted Lannon will play on Thursday, so I assume that will be at the expense of Sarsfield. I’d like to see A.Walne replace Joseph too and of course, Evalds for O’Brien.
I hope we don’t waste a bench spot on Tomkins, but I am sure we will. I don’t see the point in spelling between Lee and Tomkins, neither compliments the other like Lee and Hood did last season. Both are too similar ie 80 minute hookers who are solid in defence but offer no threat from dummy half.

| Is Sa'u injured? Thought he looked fitter than I've seen him pre season and showed a fair turn of pace last Friday for one of the trys.
Think when Lannon gets a regular starting spot he will make a name for himself, there seems to be a real glut of quality British 2nd row forwards ATM, let's hope he joins them.

| JGR you're dropping to many players there Tomkins, Sarsfield, GOB & Joseph. 2 of these will have to play which makes me think a prop is needed asap!

He seemed to grab the back of his leg after scoring that last try, then had an ice back on at the end.

| I get the feeling that Sky Sports don't like us, this will be the third year in a row that Sky have shown this fixture early in the season and we've been battered both times.
We need a major improvement in our defence if we are to even be competitive in this match. I hope I'm wrong but with the likes of Walmsely, Tasi and Amor running at our weak in depth pack this could prove to be another disastrous night.
I just hope to god we play Niall at full back, there's no way we can afford to be playing Gareth O'Brian again after all the handling errors he made against Hull FC, Luke Walsh will tear us to pieces.

| You last 2 posters are just trying to prevent me watching this game, aren't you?
With Ian Watson and Cunningham being former Welsh teammates:Flanagan and Jones knowing a bit about the Saints coaching and players:
Roby missing, and Tasi and Theo against the club they left,I was expecting a bit of a cracker.
I expect fluctuation and tactical changes as the game progresses.
I was expecting a noisy, supportive Salford crowd behind their players from start to finish.
I look at the other thread and see Middleman has the win record for Salford over previous years.
What an opportunity!
If you win, don't you go ahead of last years treble winners after your first home game?
Won't it make the chuckle brothers speechless if you take the lead and keep it?
How much incentive do you lot need?
Nah.I don't think I'll watch it.
