Cas beat Wigan tonight 19-18 so we drop to 4th. So what are we hoping for before the split.

These are the fixtures for the teams aiming for top 4, I’ve excluded Saints.

Looking at that I’d say Cas for 2nd us 3rd Wigan 4th just. Would of gone Hull for 4th but the 4 point gap will hurt them.

I think we might have a 2 or 4 point lead on Hull when it comes to the split but we could quite easily be hauled in and drop out of the 4 by the end of the season. The Challenge Cup could potentially throw up 2 to 3 games where we could drop points because of being distracted.

I cannot see Wire overcoming the 2 points + 100pt GD lead of Wigan especially if they have 4/5 home games and we have 3/5 away games.

Wigan’s run in is a lot tougher than ours, the key game is obviously when we play them at their place.

They'll have Lockers and might get Williams back who are key with Sam.
It'll be tough. 2 from 2 for the Pies and they havent lost at home.
We really needed to win that game at Cas.

Agree. Think Wigan will win their 4 home games and finish 2nd with no cup distraction either. I think we may well lose our 3 away games and finish 4th.

If we end up 4th by the split it still puts us in a good position for the Super 8s but we will need luck with injuries if we are to manage a good cup run along with the Super 8s. By the time the play offs come I'd be quite happy to go Saints rather than Wigan who seem to play better when the chips are down, and they're seeking revenge on us too. Saints could well underestimate a lesser team in a one-off semi-final (not suggesting they will though).

It's amazing that we are even thinking of Top 4 and playoff games after 2017's debacle. Price has done very well.

I think after next week we, Cas, will drop below you. We are away at Catalan. With our injuries that will be a tough game in the heat. Can see you, Wigan and Hull all winning.

Then after that
We play Leeds at home followed by Salford Huddersfield and Widnes. 4 games we should be looking to win but can see us losing 1.

At the split I will go -

Saints home and dry
2. Wigan 32
3. Cas 31
4. Wire 30
5. Hull 28

All to play for in the super 8s.
