Lots of close matches! The Championship looks a lot tighter this year. To be where we are with the fixtures we have played and the problems we have had to contend with is looking more impressive with every result. No easy games this year.

Hope we go out tonight don't need a cup run let's concentrate on the real job this season but with the team we are putting out can't see it.

If you lost tonight how would that affect the team mentally? I know that last years run eventually took some physical toll, but also bad team selection didn't help, I'd say that the cup run though gave a sense of good feeling and euphoria through the whole club. Your club thought they were unbeatable and the cup run helped with this and I pretty much think you were in the league.

Don't underestimate the power of a good cup run.

Our cup run 4 years ago threatened to derail our entire season.
Between those 2 memorable performances against cas and wigan were big losses against fax and the dee dars at home....
The cup is sadly now relegated to a distraction from the main event.
Same in association footy.... will people remember this season for who wins the fa cup or for Leicester city's attempt on the title....
Conversely I remember Ian Porterfield's goal in the 73 final with great relish as Sunderland won the cup....

That would be the ideal result tonight, wouldn't it? Just imagine what victory would do for Workington tonight, especially as they then play us at home, next weekend!

No way, will any team play to lose a match. I expect a torrid evening for Workington, even without Higham, Moimoi and Emmitt in our ranks.

I haven't seen the team but for me, Higham, Hanson, Patterson & Riddy should all be rested, all have either just returned from or have been playing with injuries.

Put Ben Reynolds in at 6 for the full 80 & see how he goes & give Acton & Spencer a run.

I am hoping for a quick exit from the CC this year ...
