Quote Giantscorpio="Giantscorpio"If we win the LLS. That will satisfy me this season.
But the arrogance of some (not all) Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, and even Hull fans. Seem to think we will be pushovers for them at our place in the play-offs.
I really hopes this motivates our lads to push on and win the GF.
Anderson should put some of these comments off the message boards on the dressing room walls to motivate the lads.'"
Firstly, the hudds players will already be highly motivated to win the grand final to suggest they would take any notice of opinions on a forum, or that it would somehow increase their motivation is terribly wrong.
Secondly, it's not arrogance, the fans don't want to disrespect hudds but it's simply an instinctive opinion. The instinct of leeds, wigan and warrington fans is telling them that, regular season results aside, we'll have a better chance against hudds than any of the other top 4 teams.
Have hudds ever won or made a grand final? No. Wigan leeds and wire all have.
Finally, your first sentence, to me is a defeatist attitude. If you lose in the playoffs you can just come back to this and say, we don't care as we were happy with the LLS.
You might never get a better chance to make and win the grand final. The LLS literally means eff all because it doesn't give you the title of champions. It's almost something for teams on the periphery who can put abit of consistency together and win 'something' to give themselves backslaps while the real contenders don't bust a gut to try and win it. This looks exactly what is going to transpire with hudds this season. Saints finished top 5 seasons on the trot, does anyone really remember...or care? If that had been grand finals, they'd be talked about as one of the greatest club teams in the countries history.
I just can't understand this limp acceptance to just win the LLS, it's a pathetic attitude. I'm sure the players are the total opposite.
