Ey up
Looks like our union cousins are organising another batch of those Regatta Blazers in Quins colours - see discussion here... www.rugbynetwork.net/boards/read ... 0,10357274
Imagine turning up to Salford in one of those with a Panama hat, and a nice chunky cigar! I'm sorely tempted, anyone else....? Orders in to the supplier by the end of April I think

| I think it would make a fine wedding suit for Mr Lister or Mr Gutterfax.

Did that happen while I was away? Congratulations - I think they'll make a lovely couple, good luck to 'em

| As a fan of rugby league from the town of Huddersfield can I ask any Quins fans what your relationship with the other code's fans are at the Stoop ? If you have any contact that is.
The reason I ask is because I have just been for a meal to my local and a few Leicester Tigers fans were in, (not sure why they were up here) and I thought I'd try and engage in a conversation about rugby but they just came out with a stream of insults about League and so I declined to insult Union and made my exit. I have seen the Leicester Tigers watching a Great Britain test match at Bolton and thought this animosity was a thing of the past. Just wondered if I was being naive or they were just a few s.
Thanks, Raaaay.

| Speaking personally I couldn't stand it last season to be sat next to a 'first-call' Quins RU supporter. He never showed any appreciation of anything good that happened on the pitch and made inane comments, telling me I had to admit RU was as good if not better etc etc. Claptrap! I moved seats!

| Whenever I have spoken to a XV person they are normally complementary. Those who can't speak sensibly about another person sporting preferences isn't realy worth speaking to. Each to their own.

I think you were probably just unlucky. Quins union shirts are often seen at our games; on one occasion I was stuck in a big crowd of union fans at the station going home from the Twickenham Sevens when we'd just won a home game at The Stoop and a load of Quins union fans were asking how "we" got on and were delighted we'd won.

There are probably RL supporters who would do the same. I think most people who watch any code of football are reasonably open-minded towards the others even if they don't appreciate the finer points of a rival code.
