Surely if spoken about with the ref immediately after the incident there would have been teeth marks which the ref could have used as evidence. Suppose Mark will get two game ban to match Harrison - the only people to be treated this way if you look back at the results of all disciplinaries this season.

Quick question for you on that! Player approaches you with bite mark, how do you identify which player bit him? If you don't see it there is nothing you can do about it. If the video does not show any evidence you cannot do anything about it after the event.

It was in fact the touch judge who called the biting incident, he stopped play and having spoken with the referee Marion was sent to the sin bin.
TV evidence pretty much useless in this case as the cameras were all on the other side of the pitch and the offence occurred on the blind side anyway.

If it was seen by the TJ then action can be taken and in this case was. As the follow up discipline process I presume requires further evidence if the video if it's not there then there us not a lot more they can do
