On Forty20 TV, Phil Caplan floated the idea that in 2021 Super League consider removing the threat of relegation from the competition. This to give a reformed Toronto. Plus the other clubs at the lower end of SL as season where they can stabilize post Covid.
Any thoughts on that ?

Are we returning to franchises? Leigh have spent big not to stay in the championship. I doubt they would be happy

Im starting to loose interest in RL tbh. I cant think of many sports run as poorly. I started following the Broncos when we played at the Stoop (am a Quins RU fan). Thoroughly enjoyed my time supporting the Broncos and the game but that has steadily diminished.

I might add. Caplan also said that it should be a consideration that a fourteen club Super League should be created.

Likewise. I loved the NRL a few weeks ago, every game, glued to the quality and the stars. Then Sky drag the rug from under the feet and leave slim pickings. There's nothing, zip, bugger all to cling to from the Broncos as there is just absolutely nothing positive or relevant or worthwhile coming out of the club. Super League no longer does it for me. I'd rather watch cycling or YouTube ! I still coach juniors so my love for the game hasn't totally gone but one thing this situation has taught me, never take anything for granted and for the Broncos that's the supporters and they are doing a great job at that.

I am the same. I am in all honest losing interest in the sport and the club.
I am not too happy at the way we fans are being treated.
I spent yesterday on the beach with my grandson and daughter.
Whilst there I thought. If this was an away rugby weekend, we would have got up at six am, done a round trip of six hundred or so miles at quite some cost, got home at around eleven pm.
I think I will still a few away games but not every other week.
I have to say, its the beach for me over away games in the future..

I agree, its a game run with 2nd hand car salesmen mentality. Started watching Cas v Hull but was so unimpressed by the commentary team & studio pundits i watched a film instead.

The rumout for next year hinges around decision on Toronto.
Do they let them back in to SL next season or not. If they dont then they have a decision of stay with 11 or if they decide on 12 who to allow in!
Rumours of 12 or 14 or 16 keep popping up.
There is also the question of toronto if they do get new owner and finanaces sorted what sactions should they face, that would be RFL issue.
The sport is is turmoil at the moment, whatever route they choose to take will recieve critisism from someone though

Its hardly a rumour. Its widely reported, in fact, to such a degree the timings of decisions / announcements have been released.

If you cant work it out plummy not my problem.
Blaming the RFL for the BBC commentary and pundits covering the challenge cup is a bit strange though. Although have to agree the beeb dont seem to have much idea, why J Davis is still there i dont know.
