| If it carries on next season it makes having Sunday as your regular home match day impractical.
It also rather cocks up Premier Sports' Thursday night championship coverage.

sky using us a gap filler, football will be taking up every available evening slot over the weekend once the season starts! football overkill from Friday night football league to Monday night premiership! what happens between February and may next season, will sky order regular season games on Thursdays nights! imo sky is killing off the game, not licensing
time for the SL to find new broadcasters? bt sport or premier sports the only alternatives

I think they will. Them getting 5:30pm Premier League games on Saturdays (for the first time) has basically nicked our regular slot since 1996.

Sky are signed for 3 more years beyond this. So it isn't on the agenda.
Worth noting also that if Sky pick to show Wigan v Leeds - that'll be on a Thursday Night.

| Terrible decision – would make it difficult for fans that have a long distance to travel to matches. If the trend continues then our season tickets would not be renewed as it would not be economical, will simple select specific matches to attend. Depends if the Monday / Thursday are limited to say only one game per club per season, then it may be ok. Maybe the clubs / RFL should make some sort of commitment to fans then you can judge if the season tickets are worthwhile.
It may not be as bad for locals but may limit families (school nights etc) if it continues next season.

That isn't an achievable option.

| Really annoyed about this, I think it will be bad for the clubs/local economy too. Every time they put big games on Mondays and Thursdays our group get 2 tickets and 4 beers (£50) at the game then home, instead of 5 tickets and 10 beers (£125) at the game plus another 30 beers (£100) in local pubs. Can't imagine that's a unique situation either

| I find this highly embarrassing for the sport. Just shows how far down the pecking order rugby league has gone on sky sports.
A growing sport? Yeah right.
