| I thought other than his error of judgement for the second try and his knock on at the end he had a great game last night.Always looked a threat on every kick return.

| Looking back at the replay he was a little unlucky on the O'Brien kick. He gambled he'd kick in to the space on his right and had to change direction and scramble across when he realised he hadn't. He didn't have enough time to make it in the end.
His big error for me was how slowly he got to the ball that bounced off Laithwaite. He didn't play to the whistle there IMO and it nearly cost us (nor did Burgess for the Monaghan try either).
On the plus side he's got an iffy game out of his system ready for next week. He'll enjoy that big pitch at Old Trafford.

| Interesting comments. I thought he was far from his best last night. I thought he looked a little apprehensive and lacking confidence.

I blame lockers for conceding the penalty in the early moments of the second half, the Bowen moment was a result of that mistake. Warrington made a mistake in kicking to him overall, just look at his metres.

However, his still has THAT mistake in him, be it big big match or little match. He never had that playing for the cowboys, theres always a question mark with his performance.
Come on Matty make it error free next week when it really matters!

| He was nowhere near his best last night. He is dangerous off kick returns but overall not his best.
Bowen is a good player but he is prone to the odd brain explosion.

I'm guessing the DW pitch is as big as you get as it's a purpose built stadium for Rugby League with full size pitch and none of this try line on the edge of the football 6 yard box that you get at some stadiums and a full 10 between the 30 & 40 metre line.
But I agree I think Bowen will enjoy the big game experience at Old Trafford.

| I believe Bowen having one of his off nights is our only chance of a win but that's still highly unlikely still
I'd bomb the hell out of him. He's great with ball and does things others wouldn't draw but he's a accident waiting to happen.

| Why did Bowen take the final conversion of the match instead of Smith?

| Bowen makes the odd mistake but that is because he often gambles to put us into good position.
He is often looking to run the ball out before he catches it so sometimes he makes an error.
However the amount of better field position that has resulted from him taking these risks far outweighs the errors imo.

| The O'Brien try was more a case of ''well done O'Brien" in my opinion. Matty was never getting to the kick and was hoping for a favourable bounce that, in the end, went O'Brien's way. Just reward for a good kick and backing himself to get there. On the other side of the coin the move and pass that put Burgess in the clear was out of the top draw. I think it's fair to say that's what you get with Matty. He's a high risk player and, when it comes off, he's on a different level to most of SL. When it doesn't he can look shaky. Worth the admission money on his own when it goes for him though!

| Does any other full-back in SL run the ball back as hard as Bowen?
Its one of the simple things that sets him apart from a lot of make-shift full-backs in SL.
If the weather is dry he could have a ball on the Old Trafford pitch.
