Brilliant news that Field would seem to have avoided a serious issue but yeah, give him the week off.

Unless Field is 100% happy with his leg then I think leave him out - great news that it doesn't seem serious though.  


I was originally thinking Eckersly at FB to keep Bevan in the halves, but it looks like Zak will need to settle in a centre for a while so may as well start now and goof for Farrimond to get a start.

Same team for me too. There is no need to risk Field. We play Salford next week and then its the cup so he could have 3 full weeks break to get himself right assuming that his scan has come back ok. I'd be amazed if he was to play, i think he is in the squad to keep Leeds guessing more than anything.

Hopefully plenty of wiganers making the journey over.

Why would he be in the squad if he's no chance of playing? What would be the point? 


Unless he's been given a couple of days to prove his fitness, which in itself would be better news than we were expecting.

Keeps Leeds guessing

It's probably the latter. I'm sure he must have a chance if he's in there but it would seem silly to take any sort of risk, even if scans say there isn't anything there. I'd probably go as far as to rest him until we go to HKR on the 11th April now. With us having Salford beforehand and then a break when the cup is on, it will give him plenty of time to get some rest in and some work in the gym and it will also allow Farrimond a couple of games, which I think he needs. 

I was amazed to see Field named  still is rest him if it where me 

Definitely would give Field a few weeks off even in the scan comes back with nothing

Kicking is going to be an issue with Keighran out for a while

Harry Smith is more than capable of kicking goals

Is it the case that only players in the 21 can be selected for the match day team, ie if the don't put him in the squad then there is no way he could play?
