Hi guys. Seen a few of them and think it's a great idea. What i'm wondering though, has it attracted any newcomers? Has it been worth the cost of the advert? How much does an advert like that cost?

In simple terms Ponner i've no idea mate but its a clever idea and i'm glad my clubs doing it.

Agreed, we're trying something different for a RL club.. and its nice to see my club taking the initiative.

The initial advertisement was a good inovation from the club. However in a way it was also an exercise in futility.
Its all well and good attracting new supporters but the biggest hurdle is getting them hooked and comming back for more. The dump that is Belle Vue and the 'entertainment' on the pitch this season so far, makes it very difficult IMHO.

Indeed, and my understanding is that it hasn't gone unnoticed at Red Hall.

As for how effective it's been - as someone clever once said "I know I'm wasting half of my marketing budget - the problem is, I don't know which half."

i agree with you, it is a good idea but i disagree it is not futile. any idea that seeks to improve the clubs position should be applauded. the belle vue that you refer to as a dump is also being improved at no small cost. the guy that is putting his money where his mouth is should be applauded and supported in every way we can. as for the entertainment on the pitch, with what we have got we are doing far better than anyone would have thought not long ago . most thought we wouldn't even start sl. kear and the young lads we have got are giving it their best shot. of course they will faulter now and again and i am sure you will agree that is when they need our support most. its easy to beat the drum when we beat hudds, its a little bit harder on the return trip from london after getting beat but i have enjoyed this seasonfar more than last season. remember t.w.a.s

Gates have increased with an ordinary product on the field so something is working.Wether it`s the TV Ads only the club will know ,buts great to see my club being innovative in advertising itself unlike before when we just expected people to turn up

I feel it’s a bit of a double standard trying to attract new support whilst at the same time banning lifelong supporters thus throwing away money.
However you still have to applaud Mr Glover for his effort.

Depends who it is and why they are banned. If its the Richardsons then after the state they left the club in I have to say that I wouldn't be overly concerned, and there aren't that many of them so it's hardly hampering our finances (in fact their employment action is properly doing more to our income than them not attending).
