It's been a long, long time and before Saints last Sunday we looked nailed on to get turned over again.
However, if we can repeat the spirit and intensity, could Friday be the game where we actually beat our closest rivals.

Cas are sure to start as strong favourites but, we are fighting for our SL spot and the kitchen sink, along with anything else that we have, needs to be thrown at this one.

A very good friend of mine has a theory about this. We have not beaten Cas since we sent them McShane. He says if Mc Shane plays, they win no matter who else is in the team.

He could be correct and from my cas contacts there is no doubt they intend to stick a knife deep in our heart on Friday.

All I am hoping for is no injuries or suspensions as our next realistic chance of a win is Catalan

I've just heard we are down to our last fit 17. If this is true it will be your best chance in ages. Can't understand why we have let good players go out on loan when we have so many injured.

We (Lino) were less than an inch away from stealing the game in the dying seconds last season at Cas.

Wildy, if we play like we did on Sunday we will beat them easily, but we won't - why I just don't know.

Since 2015 we have had a number of team formations more than capable of beating them. I think we've come close maybe twice in that time. It's pathetic.

Sunday was a magnificent effort by the team but I seriously doubt they have the resilience required to repeat it. Certainly not so soon and certainly not against Cas, truth is mentally Cas have already won it.

If I were coach and thank god I'm not. I'd select wherever possible players who've never played for us against Cas. Maybe they will not understand the rule that we must always bend over and take it and actually give them a game. Just a thought.

I've been speaking to a few people this morning and it is correct they only have 17 fit 1st team players,there is going to be loads playing out of position, no full back,will have to play Eden again at stand off and if they are unsuccessful with mamos appeal they they will only have 1 centre as well,Radford has also said he isn't bringing in any loan signings either so this surely must be the win we need badly
