I've mentioned this a few times, the waether in recent months has caused a lot of issues on the A1 up there, I'd allow a good 6 hours with stops, but as long as you possibly can is always a good idea.

too many variables to give a good estimate. Depends on when you set off, traffic, weather etc etc.

We are setting off Friday lunchtime and are expecting a 5+ hour journey.

I assume you mean your driver breaks the speed limit, all well and good until you get past Newcastle, then there are (thankfully) cameras everywhere.

See it is best not to assume any-thing...maybe we are not travelling from Hull
