What kind of person chants the name of a racist, cowardly thug?

Hasn't been charged with anything yet. Before you ask, if found guilty then I hope the club and the law throw the book at him.

Well as said, if it is him and they are his views then throw the book at him. But, although I'm not here to defend Ben Cockayne, it does amaze me how the white than white brigade (no racism intended there

) crawl out to show their disgust when lets be honest, most people at some point in their life have said something similar. Ask Henderson Gill how he used to feel with fans in the 3d stand at Boulevard throwing bananas at him, or how Clive Sullivan felt with 'monkey noises' aimed at him at both Rovers and Hull when he played for either opposition. Yes I know it was years ago, but it's all relative, fortunately times have changed as well as attitudes, but racism is still rife throughout the world, let alone facebook.

It's no different to Gareth Raynor, he's a convicted racist thug, yet he carried on his playing days at Hull after being charged, and I'm sure his tries whilst still in a Hull shirt weren't met with silence from everyone in the stadium.

Cheering a try for your team is not the same as chanting a players name like he is some sort of hero. Did you ever hear chants of Raynor Raynor? Certainly not by me. I wanted him sacked at the time.

You're kind of clutching at straws now. Obviously I don't follow your every move and I have no reason to doubt you that you wanted him sacked, rightly so as I have said if Cockayne IS guilty, I hope Rovers do the same. You're clutching at straws in the sense that I would say that chanting a players name is no different to celebrating a try by a certain player. If people felt that strongly about Raynor still playing in a Hull shirt after his charge then they would have shown their disgust in the stadium towards him wouldn't they. In fact, I'd bet the mortgage that Hull fans never once sang at Raynor when he played for Hull, "You're supposed to be in jail".

Well you are in a sense, as I said, because you started talking about a try for 'the team' when I was talking about an indivdual, that if as a fan you were disgusted with that individuals actions, then surely the said fan wouldn't show any support for him at all.

But please answer my question, did Hull FC fans ever chant at Gareth Raynor, "You're supposed to be in jail" Yes or no?
