I guess thats why he is with us and not a top 4 club. If we are able to continue with the Phelps/Ah Van partnership then we should be able to compensate for his defensive weaknesses whilst benefitting from his attacking skills! |

The whole Widnes defence is championship standard at times. If we sort out the defensive frailties there is absolutely no reason why we can't finish in the top 8 next season. You could argue if we had shown more composure throughout the last 6 to 8 games we would be easily have been in the 8 this year. |

I don't think Ah Van is poor in defence. He was as a centre for the Bulls, but on the wing he is fine. Owens and Flynn on the other hand...

Some Bradford fans said Ah Van was the worst player to have ever played for them. Defensively he has his frailties but try scoring wise he is up there with the best in the league IMO. |

And he can work a bit more on his defence. Try scoring and going forward to the line is something you have or you don't have. |

But it's made for quite a lot of ruddy entertaining games this season. These lads'll be fancying repaying the Loiners the compliment on Sunday - who'd miss it?
Wonder when we last went unbeaten by Bradford in a season? It said on the SuperLeague show that was our first win at Odsal since 1990 - I recall we seemed to drop the ball all day on that occasion, but still came away with a narrow win. |

Not good for the nerves though lol. I think we have the 4th best attack in the league and the 4th worse defence. |
